My Top 5 Strengths From Clifton Strengths
- 1.) Strategic
Strategic- Is Always thinking and searching for ways to figure things out. Having the Strategic theme allows you to sort through clutter and find ways to succeed. It is not a skill that can be taught.

- 2.) Competition
Competition- Having the drive and will to always want to win. When you look at the world, you are instinctively aware of other people’s performances. By having this awareness it drives you in a way to always want to be better than the next person.

Significance- Everything holds meaning there’s nothing that goes unnoticed. As a person who posses this theme you want to be heard and stand out.

Focus- Is always keying In and paying attention to achieve a certain goal. Focus requires a clear destination of what you’re trying to accomplish.

Futuristic- Always planning or looking forward to what’s going to happen later. As appose to things that happen presently.
What Major Theme Motivates Me ?
My major theme that I look to use the most throughout the semester would be focus. If I put my mind to it and focus at all times, I will be able to become successful in all of my classes. Focus keeps me aware and level headed. Focus is something that can’t be taught but if taken seriously can be very effective.
What is Effective Leadership?
Effective leadership is knowing your strengths and being able to understanding other strengths. Also, being able to relate to others in a way where you can help them succeed. Also, being willing to acknowledge that everyone has weaknesses but realizing that our strengths can over power our weaknesses.
My Leadership Experiences and Approach
I was the captain of my high school football team. Although we finished the season with an 8-8 record, I believe I led best by example. By being an example on the field first I knew it would ultimately earn the respect of my teammates. Also, I learned that I am a great vocal leader, I have a way with getting the best out of others with using my voice. Although, I am really good at being vocal my main approach of leadership is to ultimately lead by example. I’ve grown to learn from my father at a young age to do less talking and more doing. After being taught this at a young age I’ve since then used this approach to my advantage.
My Three Strongest Attributes
- Competitor – My drive to be great is one of my biggest attributes I love about myself. The urge to want to be better or the best is always something that attracts me. Accepting challenges and accomplishing success is very important to me.
- Flexibility- Throughout my entire life I’ve always been able to adapt and connect with people no matter the background. I tend to see things in others that they may not see in themselves.
- Work Ethic- My work ethic is what I focus on more than anything. My competitive drive fuels me to work harder.
Letter To Self
Dear Ahmad,
I hope to see you grow more vocally throughout this semester. Also I wanna see an All time high in your work ethic. I believe you can grow each day at becoming a better communicator, rather that be non verbally and giving my full attention and respect to whoever is in front of me. Also, I can improve my self verbally, by making sure I make use of my words and making sure that every word is meant and felt by others. I want to be the greatest leader that I know I am capable of being. I also want to see growth in myself as a teammate by wanting to see others win as much as I want to see myself win.
